  Bibehållna Formula mätregler för 2002

  April 8 2001. The discussions in many forums and e-mails received from many competitors, have made it clear that the vast majority wish to retain the present board width maximum (1005 mm) for the 2002 season. A survey amongst the manufacturers gave a similar view. The Formula Windsurfing Committee has therefore decided not to alter the board width limits for 2002. Ongoing discussions with competitors and manufacturers regarding the class rules to be proposed for the 2003 season will be concluded by January 2002. This will provide everyone with enough lead-time for the 2003 season. There are NO intentions to either raise the minimum wind speeds or introduce weight groups.

  April 7 2001. The organizers of the planned FW Worlds in Tarifa have announced that they no longer wish to host the Worlds. In a few days, the Formula Windsurfing committee will publish details of the new venue.
