Ser sjukt fet ut. Med lite tur kanske vi får se någon sån i Sverige.

Old School-parkett är the shit! Säg inte att du har linoleumgolv hemma…

Wood is the future. Thats why all good snowboards have wood cores.
The leading edge wave board builders are using a superlight weight eps core with wood veneers and rails v-bagged on. They are engineering the cores to provide high sheer and the wood skins to give life and spring- They are approaching a sort of ”violin” building- where the vary properties and qualities of the wood are providing unique flex characteristics. Glass skins are merely to provide a watertight seal- the wood is doing the flex-work.
These surfboards are lighter than traditional PU cored and glassed boards and many times stonger and longer lasting. Check this forum started 2004. It´s a long read but full of inspiration and info. http://www.swaylocks.com/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=183391;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25;guest=16269854
I´m still trying to figure out how to do a woody with complex bottom forms- not just a simple plank with rocker. Looking into v-bagging multiple layers of thin Gaboon veneers onto a form.

Of course- if i had 200,000 sek i could buy a CNC fräs and mill the whole board of a solid wood blank from a 3D CAD file, add some inserts and glass it with 165g and go. The wood laminations would give the flex charactaristics.

Thanx for the info Tom. I’m looking forward to see your future creations.
