Nya C3 Sting 2 + Slingshot i lager igen!!
Hej, här kommer lite info från Boogie om ”nya” uppdaterade Sting 2:
The new Sting mostly has its performance gain from a different trim of the board. it is softer and creates more vertical lift. this helps to lift the board when pumping and under load for better topend acceleration as it frees the board due to lift from the tail. the flex also makes the ride a bit easier on your legs and gives you better suspension in rough conditions.
the performance difference is largest on very lively and direct feeling boards like the Fanatic Falcon and JP slalom.
a bit less on more neutral boards like the iSonic range. those boards cope a lot better with a stiffer more direct feeling fin.the feed back that we had from most of top sailors that used the Sting1 was that it is a very fast, very predictable ride, but at the same time a bit too harsh/ too direct and not enough top end release [through vertical lift] for their liking.
so we changed that. and we are very happy with the result.so how big is the performance difference between Sting1 and Sting2 ?
it depends what board you ride and how skilled you are to use the vertical lift for better release and topend acceleration.
for me the difference in testing myself was significant on the Falcon 101 and 121, not so much on the iSonic111, but i had most of my sailing on that board last year with the Sting 40 so i know how to milk it.is there a difference in upwind ability? not really. the new Sting2 has less area than last years, but it has a slightly thicker section to compensate for that and to cope with the variations in load per area that comes with such a configuration.

Va ska man ha för storlek på slingshot till 47:an med 5,5-5,9?

Björnen, om du ”bara” ska ha en Slingshot så skulle jag ta 21:an. Den är mest universal. Den funkar från 5,5 till 6,5, så den borde bli perfekt för dig.
