Bilbao
När är det bäst för en nybörjare att åka till Bilbao för att surfa och går det att kombinera mrd kitesurfing där. jag funderar på att resa en vecka under juni – Augusti mvh martin

I hope you don’t mind me writing in English, my Swedish is not that good! I’m a surfer from Bilbao working in Karlskrona. The surf in that area is quite unpredictable, so it is very difficult to give any advise. It could be completely flat for a couple of weeks, or it could be quite big surf… you never know. If you are intereseted in having some party, you should go aroud the 3rd week of August, when you have Bilbao festival. It is great fun! About spots to surf, you have quite a lot in 15~30Km range. Specially good are Sopelana-La Salvaje (two beaches close to each other) where I used to surf, Barrika, and of course, the famous Mundaka… but on the other hand, if you are starting, better to skip Mundaka!
