Vad är Ride för nåt? Är det ett surfmärke? Jag trodde det var ett snowboardmärke, för jag har nämligen en sådan snöbräda.

F2 RIDE 282 Test Boards April 1998
This is the second F2 Ride to be released following last year’s Ride 277. The Rides are F2’s Freeride blasting range, with the accent on performance. The Ride 277 that we tested last year was an electric board; really apply, fast and exciting. However, F2 have opted to orientate the Ride 282 in a slightly different direction – it’s an extremely stable platform for carrying larger sails, and a solid reliable board for coping with very wide variety of conditions Whereas the Ride 277 is quite technically demanding, the 282 is much easier to sail than we expected, as easy as any 285 and as such a very safe introduction to short board blasting for the right weight and ability level. It has the nose rocker and V to cope serenely with a wide range of wind and water condition and its gybing, whilst not as responsive and light-footed as some, was definitely in the Freeride mould; predictable and even through the turn. This isn’t really a board for throwing about with smaller rigs in strong winds. It is a definite ’bigger brother’ to the 277; its strength is in its ability to cope with big sails without overpowering or becoming unbalanced. It is extremely comfortable with a 7.0m sail and would be happy with good half metre bigger.
Overall; Capable of coping with a wide range of conditions and abilities, this is a great board for those looking for something definitely smaller than a 295, but still stable and controllable, and very comfortable loaded up with big rigs for blasting about on those lighter air days, whatever the water state.

The Ride 277 and Fanatic Bee 274 came out early in the summer of ’97, and set new performancce standards for the 275 Freeride class. The Ride is slightly bigger and more slalomy of the two, better able to carry a big sail and a little faster and more direcctional, and has proven very popular over the past few years.
On The Water: The Ride remains a top performer at the performance/big sail carrying end of the 275 Freeride market. It is stable and comfortable, quick to plane, and very well suited with up to 7.0m sails for fast and satisfying blasting in marginal to moderate winds. It’s slighly more technically demanding than the Axxis 273 to get the best out of, particularly if you’re looking for more throwabout performancce. Like the Axxis 273 it can offer exccellent gybing performance but isn’t intrinsiccally helpful – the better you are, the harder you’ll be able to ccrank it. It’s best suited to bigger sails; in stronger winds and rougher conditions it does cede ground to the more all-round boards, although if it’s the only board you own it ccan ccertainly cope with small sails (4.5-5.0m) and heavy chop.
Overall. A good all-round board that is happy in a very wide variety of cconditions, and really shines with larger sails for early planing and performance blasting. A top Freeride performer, probably better suited to the more competent sailor, who will be able to explore and realise more of its potential.
