Only ”Brats” with there parents big boats drinking champagne and eating strawberries.

There are few sand beaches up there, mosty rocks and islands. dangerous to launch.

There are alot of people going to Smögen in the summer. Lots of sailboats and people partying. Its a nice place!

The spot furtherst north I know of is Stora Höga, close to Stenungsund but that is still quite far from Smögen. I know people kite in Uddevalla. Anybody on here? Must be something in Norra Bohuslän?

I’m sure there are days with wind, specially in august, so bring your gear. Don’t think there is a sandy beach up there but i’m sure you’ll figure something out.

there is at least one sandbeach in smögen if my memory isn´t totolly wrong. have been diving and partying alot there when i lived i Uddevalla. It´s pretty windy so just bring your gear and ask people about launchingarea/ sandbeach.

S said before, there are some guys in Uddevalla, maybe someone has a number to one of those guys?

Go to the west coast of Bohus-Malmö!
You can actually see Smögen fråm the top of the spot at Bohus-Malmön, so it is not so far away, but it takes a small ferry to get there (free of charge, 5 min) from Örn.

At the spot you have a big launching area, though on rounded rocks. There are several nice reefs outside with real surf breaks.
You can drive your car upon the rocks allmost all the way to the water as well!
It is really an amazing and unique place, worth visiting.
Attention: It´s not a spot for beginners!!!
