Det går ju att redigera det digitalt i efterhand även om det är filmat med analogkamera.
Fan tror du de filmade hela StarWars med DV kamera för att de skulle kunna lägga till effekter

Med feta algoritmer kan man faktiskt ”gissa” fram nya frames och få till hyffsad slowmotion, men bara till en viss gräns.
Spela roll…. snyggt är det iaf.

den va väl inte så bra?
hade dom gett fan i alla onödiga slowmo scener som förstör flytet i filmen så hade den nog varit bra.
Kan va ok i en trailer men som film blir de bara segt ju.De va ball i första matrix men nu känns de bara störigt.

Va fan Davids har du legat av dig? Ville ju ha ett sånt där roligt svar av dig på mitt inlägg. Iofs fick jag ju ett av Kasimir istället så jag ska väl vara glad ändå! Skall tilläggas att jag inte ens hade sett klippet när jag skrev inlägget…

AndyhI Andy! Maybe you can tell us how you did create the super slowmo/rotate motion on the riders. That and some other highly irrelevant stuff about your choice of colours for your digital graphics is what we have been talking about. Mostly. Some even thought your were german! (But that´s another discussion.. 😉 Most of us think it looks super cool with colors and all though!
Some thought you used 35mm analog movie camera, but i think it is out of the question that any of us regular and deadly people can afford to shoot kiteboarders with that kind of equipment. For example the arricam 35mm goes for over $180000, and that one is capable of only 60fps.. I personally vote for that you used after effects with pixel motion calculation or something like that for the slowmo scenes. Cheerz. -

I hate to give away my secrets or everyone’s videos will start to look like mine haha but it was shot on the lowly GS500… mostly in procinema mode with stabilisation switched off, as that is supposed to give better res, even with optical stab…. I have a 35mm adapter and shoot some stuff with it through Nikon SLR lenses, but that is next to useless for kitesurfing. But here’s a sample with the 35mm adapter:

The secret to super slomo is to shoot interlaced, render to progressive at 50% speed so each field becomes a frame. I do this with vegas, it automatically interpolate deinterlaces to create a new frame from each field. Then you apply twixtor (in AE or premier pro) to the 50% progressive video. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I programmed reference points frame by frame over a few frames and slowed it to about 1% speed. Twixtor generates intermediate frames using morphing and motion vectors and so on.
The colours were basically using levels effect studio rgb to computer rgb to drop black level, s shaped colour curve, and colour corrector to push midtones a little towards orange and desturate to about 60%. I also put a vignette thing on it to darken the edges.
