Lite mer info:
”The construction of the speed boards is polystyrene core with corecell ,carbon fibre sandwich skin. There are carbon T stringers under the rear half of the board to add stiffness to the bottom skin. There are carbon reinforcements to high load areas.
The boards are shaped using CNC cut templates for the deck, rocker, outline and also contour templates for the deck shape. This shaping process is very accurate.
We have boards at all different stages at the moment so I will take some photos and send them to you tonight.
About the brand Nude, I have been shaping my own boards for the last 12 years. Most of them were for me and my friends. Two years ago I decided to start Nude up as a full time business. We started off developing wave boards for the local conditions and came up with some really good shapes. We had lots of success in the WA wave competitions last year with Nude boards winning and placing in all competitions. During this time I was also doing some development work with one of the larger brands which was a great learning experience.
Chris and I started to develop the speed boards at the end of last Summer. We have done a lot of prototyping and made a lot of adjustments to the shapes and construction methods. Now we’re confident we have some good boards we are starting to produce them for our customers on a larger scale. I’m pretty stoked with how the speed boards are going now. They look really nice and they are going really quick.Cheers , James”

”OK some specs:
54cm x 253cm x 82 litre
46cm x 244cm x 67 litre
42cm x 240cm x 61 litre
Compared to the designs I did for CA, the bottom shape is changed to solve the stability problem in the roll axis- especially in the larger boards. The deck profile is way more comfortable, and the tail is much thinner at the back foot. This delivers significant control advantages. The bottom shape has also changed- its a bit more radical than the flat panel V applied to the CAs. There is a double concave applied through the centre, with slight bevels on the rails. Overall the rocker is very similar, with the new boards having slightly more nose clearance, and a much smoother rocker transition through the nose. The outline is also a lot more conventional through the front. I did this after working out that the aerodynamic balance can be maintained by going slightly longer and narrower in the nose. I chose this way to improve the gybing ability of the boards in chop. They are super fast to gybe now. Overall the boards have that same crazy loose acceleration and smooth ride over the bumps. Upwind and sailing through lulls the new shapes are way better. They hold their speed very well through lulls because the reduced rail pressure doesn’t cause the windward rail to dip like it does on the CA. Upwind this is really noticeable. Anyway, I attached some pics of the 46 and 54. The gybe photo is the 46. I did 40kts peak that day, and was doing 38kts going into that gybe.Say hi to the crew over there for me! cheers, Chris”
