I would sand down the crack all the way to the core, or for as far as i could see the damage continue, chances are the core has a slight ”indent” in which case i would simply apply a little bit of normal PU-foam (fogskum) to even out the indent, let it cure, sand it down to deck level, then laminate over it with laminating epoxy and fiberglass (as many layers as you feel necessary). Make sure the new fiberglass overlaps around the damage for 4-5 centimeters. Sure, you could use carbon, but it’s sh*t expensive, compared to regular fiberglas and for such a small area the weight gain is marginal anyhow.

Unless you want it to look exactly like before, you can fix that yourself easy peasy, and even then, I think you could get it looking pretty close to the original look. 1 hours worth of research and some relatively cheap materials (good for future use also), perfect excuse to hide away in the garage (and it’s pretty damn fun)

Man I love your story!! Haha it’s spot on on some points, talk about putting cops to good use… haha.. Okay sure the waters around måkläppen are a seal sanctuary area, but i dont think people should get their panties in a bunch.. if it was a yacht that capsized you wouldnt hear sh*t about it.. I met you once at Klagshamn, you told me the story 😉 I’ve encountered seals at skanör as well, i think they’re crawling around the area, and hell, not just there, they were all over the place at öland too.. Hm tell me, are they agressive? did you feel threatened in your situation? I found myself being very captured by these large mammals and I catch myself reading up on them way to often now. Anyways ignore mr landrover, you can run into people like that anytime anywhere. I guess my post has no real point except that I hope you don’t have to suffer any repercussions.. I am a seaman by profession, and if you’ve had a traumatic situation at sea, the last thing you should get when you reach shore is a yelling, thats just bullshit… No difference between a windsurfer, a leisure sailor or a professional boater, they all chose to go to sea. Are there any disadvantages to having such ”racey” sails ?

Speed/slalom sailing is radically different from the other parts of w-surf in terms of sail-sizes. I am by no means a speed sailor myself, but these guys tend to use sails much bigger than those who blast around or freestlyle. The name of the game is weight and seat harness. If you wanna beat records, you gotta get LOW in that seat harness and really be on the edge of overpowering if you wanna go fast. As has been stated previously, by people who have more knowledge than me, the sails they recommended are probably the best. However, if you want more all-round fun, just blasting along on a really windy, choppy day at Klagshamn/Habo/one of our super nice Skåne-spots, a freeride sail around 5.4-5.5 won’t kill you. At least I wouldn’t feel the need of being constantly overpowered!

Hi, I’ve looked at and felt the prolimit at onwater in Lund, and like any alu-monocoque it felt quite sturdy, but then again I’ve never sailed with one myself. Aeron on the other hand has quite a good reputation around the world, many hire-centres use these and I’ve sailed one and it felt nice. If the difference in price is not huge I would personally go with the aeron, however if it’s more than 500 setting them apart I would go with the cheaper, as i honestly don’t think that there are any major differences, both being alu and monocoque, and a horrific wipe-out would kill either one of them all the same :santa:

det är precis det som är problemet med vapenkramare. Acceptera denna enkla sanning så förstår man varför folk inte ska kunna köpa vapen enkelt. Eheh en Robby Naish-tråd övergår till vapendebatt? Nej såklart, i en perfekt värld skulle det inte finnas vapen. Men fan, världen är inte perfekt. Folk som vill ha vapen har vapen, även i vårt Sverige, helt oberoende av gällande lagstiftning. Jo i allra högsta grad att folk dödar folk, innan pickadoler så med svärd o innan de med klubbor, skitsamma vilket verktyg som används. Kanariefågeln evakuerades och gruvan stängdes igen, hoppas detta kan vara en inspiration för alla andra med skadade plankor, bara man vill så kan man fixa väldigt mycket! Kan uppriktigt säga att det var ett dunderroligt projekt, många sena kvällar i ett dunkelt garage med ett stort grin :blush:
