HIGH SURF WARNING FOR NORTH AND WEST FACING SHORES

Surf along north facing shores will be 25 to 35 feet today, and gradually decreasing to heights of 20 to 30 feet Friday.

Surf along west facing shores will be 15 to 25 feet today, and slowly decreasing to heights of 12 to 20 feet Friday.

Surf along east facing shores will be 3 to 5 ft through Friday.

Surf along south facing shores will be 3 to 5 feet through Friday.

Outlook through Wednesday Jan 26: the current west northwest swell is expected to maintain surf at high surf warning levels along north and west facing shores through Friday afternoon. This persistent west northwest swell will likely keep surf at high surf advisory levels along north and west facing shores from Friday night through the upcoming weekend. Another large reinforcing west northwest swell arriving Sunday night will likely push surf well above the high surf advisory thresholds along north and west facing shores again early next week.

Surf heights are forecast heights of the face or front of waves. The surf forecast is based on the significant wave height, the average height of the one third largest waves, in the zone of maximum refraction. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the significant wave height. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near any surf zone.

Liten lekfull Hookipadag i förrgår. Byig 5.0 som övergick till smooooth mer jämn fin 5.0 mot seneftermiddagen. Huvudhöga set och OTROLIGT crowded. Däribland trevliga Niklas och Kristoffer.

Igår en sån där riktigt glassy förmiddag på Kanaha med mellanstora (lite över huvud) set. Förvånandsvärt liten crowd med tanke på vågkvaliten. Tora och jag hade kalassurf. Min 7’2a är löjligt grym och kunde konkurrera bra med longboard crewn om att plocka vågor.
