I wouldn’t worry about sharks unless you are planning on surfing Dyer Island.
Bull sharks are the nasty ones on the east coast but the water is warmer and you can get some interesting surf there.
Jeffries bay goes off that time of the year and there is prolly less crowd than in july, I’d go.

If I were to buy a kiteboard I would go for something more like a wakeboard ’construction-wise’ as the reinforcements you’d need to make it durable would take out any of the beneficial performance characteristics for surfing.
Better to get one each if you ask me.

I hear that! I’ll be having a surf movie premier at ISh on tuesday in like a week, i’ll post an update soon so you’ll know, that’ll make you want to get in the water earlier I’m sure!

Bringing surfers together to save a wave is a good thing, but advertising surfing for any other purpose is just lame, that leads to its exploitation. Two very different situations.
