if you like pretty things and pictures buy a mac! : )
You will get a much better PC for the same cash that you would a mac in my opinion, plus the option to upgrade your hardware components keep your computer current.
And of course if you feel inclined to be a renegade there are many more software/purchase options for a PC than there are a MAC.
