hehe nice feedback, I know the baby bay sounds a little more friendly, but I didnt want it to sound like we were separating everyone, rather have an area where people can unhook and bust a move without someone crashing into them : )
Although there are a little rocks over on the south side, I think its better that people having accidents make it over the hill and into water as opposed to a cafe or minigolf… : )

you are totally right about the spots becoming more crowded, 3 years ago there were 5 of us that rode all winter, no more. 2 years ago it had doubled, and last winter there were busy days.. a Huge difference.
The hostility thing.. yaa.. it can seem a bit dodgy in here, but its kinna of a steffo tradition to make fun of one another and to voice controversial issues like bad customer service, or people breaking rules that apply to local spots, but there is always an element of humour or sarcasm, you wont find that in a MX forum because those guys have an image to keep.
All of that is left at the computer though, get to the beach, meet people, get a few hugs and you will notice there is a massive difference in attitude. Noobies can always ask for help and advice on the beach checking their gear.. or hey… ”why is it that as soon as I come up on the board I sink back down in the water again?” Most importantly people will react without thinking to save another rider.. sure there is always a bit of talk afterwards, ”that shit shouldnt have happened”, but thats not what counts… expect backup from everyone, if you are on the beach and get a shit launch, or you are on the water with a line break.
There is a kite event in Öland not this weekend, but the one after, why not come over and hang out with us? bring your rig and do some riding while you are at it. I am sure KITE.se and KITEBOARDING.se will both have some spare kitegear that we can do a lesson on if you are interested in having a feel for it!
Surferlove man, you should totally try kiteboarding and come hang with us : )

I was helping mike pull the engines from his boat and we were at the campsite to pick up a trailer… we went down to have a look, HOLY FUCK!!… whoever slammed, it looked like they got away lucky, the roof is totally shredded : )
Mike is cool, but he wants the drainage thing and the roof repaired as soon as poss : ) looks like a half hours work really..
Glad it went ok though, shit it could have been much worse by the look of the roof
