The thing about Ribban is that there will be loads of hot chicks there!! best you come up to Habo get back into your stride and then head down to Ribban after a couple of sessions and blow away your public, busting huge moves and carving with style! 🙂

Agreed, Herodude. I am glad someone finally got the point instead of just giving me bad rep points.
The point you just raised expresses the opinon of many kiters. I mean at the end of the day its much easier for us kiters to avoid a windsurfer than it is another kiter.. and we seem to avoid each other pretty well. Its just a few that dont seem to show any type of respect for others or the weather conditions.
Any suggestions as to how we can move the saftey issue forward??
For instance…. Körkort for kiters? exclusive Noob areas? Setting up local meetings between an elected board of Kiters and windsurfers once every 3 months?
All ideas welcome.

You got a good point Tom, clearly last weekend at Habo raised a lot of saftey issues with people getting lifted and stuff… but I think the risk of getting hurt is partly why people do this sport, if anything, the big adrenaline junkies are the ones that know how fast things can go wrong.
Risks are risks, depends if you wanna take them on the road going to the beach, or on the water.
I would much rather kick the bucket with a smile on my face that very same day though. : )

Yeah, I know, imagine missing a kitesurfing barbeq! it dont get any worse than that!

I was coming into shore, jumped off my board and some glass sliced a big flap off the bottom of my foot, so they had to sew it back down :-/.

ahh, I will never give up kiting!!!, it was great to see everyone riding hard yesterday in the tough conditions.. I couldnt believe when I say Lina heading out with a 14 in 12 m/s winds…… thats hardcore..
As for the shoes.. well I dont know how much they would have helped in this case, but I still think they are the first step towards buying a bowkite!!
-
stick a big pole in the ground, hook your bar onto it and throw your kite into the air.. hope for the best.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha… you guys really dont wanna find a solution do you?
